About Us
The best Chinese Restaurant in town!
Our Story
Founded in 2005, Kwan Mein began with a simple idea:
Noodles should feel more alive — with more character, more soul, and more presence on the plate. We believe that great noodles aren’t just eaten; they’re experienced.
What Our Name Means
“Kwan” comes from the Chinese word kuān (宽), meaning wide. Wide noodles hold more than sauce — they carry texture, weight, and boldness. They also reflect generosity and openness, values that guide how we cook and serve.
“Mein” connects us to beloved Asian noodle traditions like Lo Mein and Chow Mein, grounding our flavors in what people already know and love.
Together, Kwan Mein means wide noodles — and all that comes with them: wider noodles, bigger flavors, and cooking driven by real heat.
Our Craft: Handmade Noodles, Wok-Fired Flavors
Every batch of our noodles is made by hand. No machines, no shortcuts — just flour, water, and skill. This gives our noodles their signature chew and soul.
Each dish is finished in a screaming-hot wok, where fire, aroma, and motion unite in seconds. This isn’t just cooking — it’s wok hei, the “breath of the wok,” capturing smoky fragrance and intense flavor in every bite.
Two Traditions, One Bowl
Our menu brings together:
-
The strength and honesty of hand-crafted noodles
-
The energy and flavor of authentic wok cooking
The result is a modern, fast-casual experience that feels bold, satisfying, and deeply grounded.
